On Monday, 6 July, the Awabakal Newcastle NAIDOC Celebration will take over Newcastle Foreshore with live performances, Traditional Dancers, yarning circles, stalls, food, drinks, rides, and more.
It will start at Newcastle Civic Park from 9am for a flag-raising ceremony before a friendly procession to Foreshore Park where the celebrations will kick off at 10am. Expect to see cultural talks, live performances, dancing, children’s activities, food stalls and spaces to yarn with mob. Come down and meet up with friends and family, rain, hail or shine.
